Wario's back on the Wii in his latest and greatest adventure, doing what he does best - hunting for treasure! True, there's royalty to rescue and kingdoms to free, but Wario's got his eye on the gold, and he'll do whatever is necessary to get every bit of treasure into his stash!

The story begins when Wario receives a strange package. He unwraps it to discover an ancient-looking globe and a telescope, and a curious creature called a Merfle appears. The Merfle tells Wario that his kingdom has been taken over by an evil pirate king, and that the good queen is being held captive. He also happens to mention that tons of treasure is involved, which perks up Wario's greedy ears - he's ready for a rescue mission!

Wario travels to the Shake Dimension though the magic telescope and begins his quest, freeing trapped Merfles throughout the land and battling a series of bosses. With the Merfles' help, he returns the kingdom to freedom bit by bit, and starts building up his hoard of coins and jewels. To do battle against the pirate king, he'll first need to collect emblems from all five major bosses, so there's a big task ahead of him!

Wario's got an impressive selection of moves, from dashes to slides to power stomps. Along the way, he'll swing from ropes, dive into pipes, fly out of cannons, and even roll himself into a massive snowball to get where he's going. The game controls are easy to pick up, and you'll master them quickly: hold the Wiimote sideways like a classic controller, and use the buttons to move and jump.

Despite the oldschool controller setup, the Wii's motion sensing ability is put to great use, as you'll need to shake the Wiimote to perform various tasks including getting coins out of a bag, dislodging obstacles, aiming cannons and getting items out of enemies. Defeated enemies also come in useful if you need to hit a switch or a block that's high up - just pick up and toss an enemy to get to those hard-to-reach places!

In between areas, you'll have to return to the pirate ship where you first began your adventure, and purchase the map for the next area. Maps can get pricy, so you'll have to make sure to stash enough cash for the next one, and Wario hates to part with his money! Once you've unlocked a map, you can return to that area as many times as you want to, and you'll need to come back to collect more coins and to hunt for the treasure items you missed the first time. You'll also want to save some money to buy extra hearts for your life meter!

For players who enjoy a good scavenger hunt, each level is packed with goodies to look for, some better hidden than others. There are several optional "missions" in each area, and perfectionist gamers will want to go back and see if they can notch each and every one. There is also more than one pathway through each level, so you're sure to find some all-new things if you take a second pass through.

Wario Land: Shake It! has got everything you'd expect from a Wario title: interesting enemies, lots of cool areas, and tons and tons of hidden treasure! Yeah, the game is fairly short if you zoom your way through, but the sheer number of things to go back and collect means you won't be truly "done" with it for a long, long time. This is definitely one adventure you won't want to miss!

I think in the games there should be a thing where u can press end game and still get the money. I played the harvest game and only 2 bugs came and I was playing for a really long time and got a lot of points. I got bored and exited out of the game and I didn't get the money. Please think about putting an end game button in there. Thx! :)

I have this game for my wii but Im the only one who dosn't like playin it. My brother likes playing it my sister dose and my dad of course. He loves video games but my brother loves video games 10 times more then my dad. My brother is a game freak. My favorite thing to do is to go on the computer and play outside instead of playing the wii all day and all night. My dad somtimes lets my brother do that. mostly on weekends. Most of the time the same anwser is no no no no no. Same thing to me. ( For computer time)

Ilike playing on the wii and all but just like I told ya I don't like Wario Land Shake It. I try playing for tryouts but I thought it was plain old lame. Ya never know untill you try it. My brother kept on begging me to try it untill he stopped I told him I would do it I tryed it and i yelled ; BORING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Its was so boring I could sell it. Instead i took a nap.
