Jessy's 'Gotta Have It' Stuff
Our little friend Ella collects stuff. Lots and lots and LOTS of stuff.
She's so totally excited about all the cool things here on Earth that she wants to keep some of everything, and she barely has room to store it all! She'll collect anything: bottle caps, funky shoelaces, baseball cards, action figures, comic books, hair clips ... and she refuses to get rid of anything! She also asks a TON of questions about all the stuff, which would probably get annoying except that she's so adorable that we can't possibly get mad at her!
Today I was busy filling up my backpack, getting ready for the gaming tournament we're going to this weekend. As usual, Ella was bouncing around asking if she could help me, asking why I was bringing this or that, wanting to know about everything I was putting in my bag. She asked me how I decide what stuff to leave at home and what to bring with me. Man, that kind of thing takes Mika forever to decide, but me, I know what I need and I can usually get my bag packed pretty fast.
MY 5 MUST-HAVES FOR ANY TRIP:
1. My mp3 player.
I can't deal with mornings without music. When I wake up I'm pretty grouchy, but if I wake up to good music, things are better already :)
2. Cherry-flavored gum.
Bubble gum if possible - I love to snap it! It always drives Yuki nuts!
3. My lucky t-shirt.
I have this old shirt with a unicorn on it, the shirt that I was wearing the first time I beat my brothers at a video game. It's become a kind of tradition of mine to wear it when we have a majorly important gaming event. It's so worn out now, and it's been to all our tournaments with me. I'll usually put it on underneath my jumpsuit, or if I can't wear it then I keep it nearby in my bag. That thing is totally my lucky charm, I don't know what I would do if I lost it!
4. My favorite hat.
Mika just wrote about the awesomeness of hats in her fashion post, and I've gotta agree with her on that one. Hats are a total lifesaver, especially when you've been sitting on a bus or a plane for hours and your hair is a disaster. I just throw my hair in a ponytail or a braid and then stick a hat over it. Bingo, done.
5. My best friends.
Can I list that as one thing, even though there's two of them? No matter where I go, I want my friends with me! It's cheesy, I know, but we're like a three-piece puzzle. I can't imagine life without them and we always have the most fun on trips. Nothing can bring you down when you've got your BFF's along for the ride!
What about you guys? What do you HAVE to bring with you everywhere you go? I'm sure Ella would love to know :)

what i always have to have with me is a pack of gum,my heart sweater,my cherry lip gloss,a book,my ds,a notebook,my bff a pen,my i=pod,or my mp-3 player!!!
